Romans 7:15-17, 22-25
“Who Can Save Me” is one of the first scripture songs I wrote, one day as I was just grooving on my guitar in my bedroom. As I was playing, the bluesy feel of the music reminded of the inner struggle we face in our walk with Jesus as we wrestle against our flesh and seek to crucify our sinful desires. Paul’s famous discourse in Romans chapter 7 came to mind and I began to weave the verses with the music I was playing into this scripture song.
This passage of scripture is an incredible source of encouragement and defense to me during moments of weakness and trial. “Thanks be to God who delivers me!”
